My Approach to Health & Healing
Healing is a deeply personal journey, and no two individuals experience it the same way. My approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based practices, and a deep understanding of how the mind and body work together. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, process past experiences, and develop the tools they need to thrive. By integrating a range of therapeutic techniques—including trauma-informed care, neuroscience-backed interventions, and holistic approaches—I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. My goal is to help clients move beyond coping and into true healing, fostering resilience, self-awareness, and lasting transformation.
Choosing The Tools
Every individual’s healing journey is unique, which is why I take a personalized approach to therapy. Rather than applying a single method, I carefully assess each client’s needs and determine which tools will be most effective in their healing process. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process emotions, resolve trauma, and foster self-understanding. Each of these modalities offers a different path to healing, and by combining them thoughtfully, I create a tailored experience that supports deep and lasting transformation.

Additional Theories of Influence & Experience
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a practice that can assist you in being able to ride the waves of life in a less reactive way. Mindfulness is really about awareness and awareness is what leads to change and growth. Meditation is one way of enhancing mindfulness. Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction defines mindfulness as “awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”
Polyvagal Theory
Polyvagal theory is based on the work of Stephen Porges and Deb Dana. Polyvagal theory helps one learn how to befriend their nervous system instead of fearing it. Often, we can feel that our nervous system is in charge, that we are ruled by our reactive anxious or numb responses. Polyvagal theory gives one a deep understanding of their nervous system, aiding us in seeing that there are many things we can do to manage our reactivity, helping you to live with freedom instead of fear.
